It was an odd night last night on American Idol, pretty dull for the most part. Paula Abdul had her Chihuahuas tucked safely away last night, opting for a Sunday School outfit. All she needed were the little white gloves and the look would have been complete. One can only assume she was trying for the "sober" look after all the fuss about her peculiar behavior the night before.
During the call-in portion of the show, which I normally don't care for, there was a moment which seemed genuine and unscripted. Tara MacDonald Smith (formerly Tara Miller) called in from Petaluma to ask Simon about the kiss they had shared when they were both nine year olds. It was a moment where Simon almost seemed nice.
